Telephone Interviewing Opportunities

Telephone Interviewing involves calling respondents from our Telephone Centres to ask them a series of questions for research purposes. It is regular part-time work, with excellent rates of pay.

Questions are usually about people's views and opinions on products or services they might use. There is no selling involved and the questions do not lead to any sales call being made later. The collected information is used purely for research purposes. Questions asked by interviewers are scripted and must be followed in a prescribed manner. All interviewers therefore require some basic PC user-knowledge and must pass some skills tests to ensure they have the abilities required. These tests incorporate language, listening skills and verbal communication skills. Full training is given after a recruitment screening process.

At Kantar Operations, we have four Telephone Centres in the UK, located in West London, Farringdon and Hull. All of our Telephone Centres use Computer Aided Telephone Interviewing (CATI) and most stations operate autodialler technology to make it easier for interviewers to connect to calls. In our West London locations we also conduct a variety of international language work, dialling overseas.
